Last month I went out to Los Angeles for the First Run Film Festival screenings for the second time. This year my own film was screened along with the other semi-finalists. Later I took a side trip up to Sequoia National Park to hike my ass off. Here are the pictures.

The Grand Canyon from the air. Seth, hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains.
Seth and me. Seth again.
Children playing in the freeway, very bizarre. The interior of the Bradbury building, downtown LA, featured in Blade Runner.
Dinner at the Mondrian hotel. Rich Song at the Mondrian.

Rich Song again.

Pete Levin and me.
Seth and Pete Levin's roommate. Rich and Kemali.
The first night's directors. Joanna Nucho, Rich, Mathew Gubler and Geoff Zinn.
Rich contemplate surfing. The second night's directors.
Seth at Lake Kaweah. This is a virtual floating city. The high Sierra.
General Sherman tree. Largest living thing on earth. Yeah. Here we are about halfway through a six mile hike.
Snow, in June! We eventually saw a lot more than this, but this was the first, so we had to take a picture. Seth. Heavily edited picture, but you get the idea.
Hard core Seth, sunset, about one mile to go. One mile to go, eh?
The next morning, Pear Lake. 9,000 feet. The way back.
