Eric Stern and I decided to swing by Times Square while
celebrating this New Year. We were actually trying to get across town
but ended up in line for the festivities accidentally, so we decided,
"what the hell". About twenty minutes before midnight we were
deposited with the rest of our line at 39th and Broadway, with a view
of the ball from afar.
It was my first time doing the Square; most New Years Eves I spend sitting
in front of the tube in Syracuse.
It was actually better than I expected; the crowd wasn't too claustrophobic
and the cold was barely noticeable.
After the ball dropped we were able to walk up through the Square as people
were clearing out. That's where these pictures were taken.
